About Me

I am married with three grownup children. The eldest runs ‘Amp Awards’, a project to develop music in schools in Yorkshire, my daughter is the area manager for a manufacturing company and my youngest works for a company in Huddersfield. I am still teaching Maths by distance learning since having retired as a Headteacher a number of years ago. My wife worked in Education for a Local Authority. I live in Badger Brow on the edge of the moors and have a keen interest in the environment. I am Chair of Meltham Environment Ltd, a non-profit making charity dedicated to improving our environment. The sort of projects we helped were the playground and allotments in Hey Green and the Greenway footpath. I am a local preacher in the Methodist Church, having qualified 5 years ago, so I attend church regularly. My other interest is in sports especially rugby, both my sons play so I go to watch them when I can.
